Note from the author: The page below is what we intended to publish had we succeeded in
validating Theomatics. We prepared this in anticipation of appropriate data and results to empirically and mathematically validate Del Washburn's claims. It is presented as a curiosity at the point, since, as we have shown, Del
Washburn is at best profoundly ignorant of the mathematical principles involved: Theomatics, as Washburn has defined it, does not exist in any of the cases he presents. Even so, we feel the material is valuable to help one perceive
the theoretical significance of Theomatics if it were indeed a reality. We hope you find it both interesting and useful in this way.
Please turn in the Bible to the place where it is written: "To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of
God." This text in Acts 1:3 indicates that God provided infallible proofs of the resurrection of Jesus Christ to those who lived in that day. He did this while commanding them and expecting them to exercise faith in Jesus
Christ. This implies that faith and fact, undergirded by infallible proofs, are fast friends-- not inconsistent with one another. Until I See There are
some people, like Thomas the Apostle, who will not believe until they experience Jesus Christ for themselves: they are not satisfied with the testimony of others. Perhaps they understand somewhat of human nature, how frail and
gullible and thoughtless we humans tend to be. They cannot trust in the emotionalism of others, yet they respond to the miraculous if it truly exists, and to science that does exist. They respond to data, to legitimate data, and
they test the spirits. They are genuine, honest, thinking people that are convinced by genuine evidence. Miraculous signs and wonders, done in the name of Jesus Christ, affect such people deeply. Perhaps you are one
of these. Perhaps you are a believer in Jesus Christ, perhaps you are not. Perhaps you are an atheist, perhaps you are a skeptic and remain in uncertainty. If you are sincere, if you are honest with fact, if you have an appetite
for the genuine... it does not really matter to me right now whether you are a believer or not. Perhaps you have never seen a true miracle. Perhaps you have felt a keen dismay at the fraudulent embarassments that
have duped the western world in the name of Christianity. Perhaps you have come to feel that there is no reality behind all of the fraud, no true Christ among the hypocrites... who flirt with His name and His ways. Perhaps you have
concluded that there is no God, or that He does not care for you... and has left you no credible witness of Himself. Even if you considered seeking Him, you would not know how, or where to start. You are not alone.
Thomas, one of the twelve, who followed Jesus Christ for three long years... who saw Him walk on the water and feed multitudes with paltry fragments... was just like you the morning of the resurrection. Unless he could see for
himself, he would not believe. He did see. What he saw, in a living breathing Christ, changed his life. What if you could see the miraculous? What if you
could study it and validate it? What if you could... so to speak... put your finger into the print of the nails, and thrust your hand into God's side? Would you continue faithless and unbelieving? If there is
no evidence that would convince you... hang it up now. Dishonesty will have no healing. Love of darkness has no light. Read no farther. If you are willing to be convinced by verifiable, replicable evidence of the
existence and nature of God, I have something for you. Here, I prove that the Bible is the Word of God, and I do so with the purity and precision and objectiveness of mathematics. Your options will be to accept the fact of
intelligent supernatural intervention in the writing of the Bible, or to realize that you truly are a dishonest person. Are you ready to come to that place? Ready or not, you have.
My vehicle will be something called The Word
The original autographs of the Old Testament, the manuscripts of the early biblical texts as they was first penned so long ago, were written in the ancient language of Hebrew. The New Testament was written in ancient Greek. Each of
these languages has an unusual property: every letter in their respective alphabets has a numerical value. These values are undisputed and well known, given in any appropriate dictionary. Every word in the Bible is also a number. There is an unusual relationship between the linguistic content of the Bible and the numerical values of the words conveying the message. For example, in many a biblical text referring to fish or fishing the sum of
of the numerical values of the letters comprising certain phrases in the text will be divisible by the number 153, which is the number of fish that Peter hauled to the Galilean beach in his post-resurrection fishing trip recorded
in John 21. Many passages referring to servants, serving, servanthood, or service have the property that the sum of the numerical values of the words comprising various phrases within the surrounding text is divisible by the number
318, which is the number of servants in Abraham's household that were trained in battle, and which accompanied him in the remarkable rescue of his nephew Lot recorded in Genesis 14. There are many hundreds of
instances of this phenomenon in the Bible. If one alters the wording of the text to express the same truths and facts in some other manner, or randomizes the numerical values of the letters inherent in the language, the phenomenon
is extinguished. It is not inherent in the ancient languages themselves, and does not occur in any other ancient document. It is unique to the text of the Bible. There are four possibilities here: 1. Anyone may validate the fact of Theomatics. The phenomenon
is replicable, and that relatively easily. Details are available via the above link. I also provide a way for you to verify the existence this phenomenon yourself. Option one is omitted. 2. The second option, that
Man designed this feature of the Bible and created it with natural intelligence and diligence... is simply inconceivable. The Bible was written by over 40 different men, over a span of 2500 years, in three languages, in many
different lands and places. Some of it was written by firelight from caves, some by torch-light from dungeons, some while wandering in the desert, some by learned scribes, some by kings, some dictated by illiterate fishermen. It is
expressed in historical narrative, in song, in poetry, in prophesy, in formal treatise, in informal letter. All of it flows naturally without any hint of contrived awkwardness to achieve some intricate hidden numerical pattern. There is no evidence of general knowledge concerning any pervasive theomatic structure in the Bible until the 20th century. To imagine that every single one of the biblical writers, most of whom never met or
corresponded with any of the other writers, or even realize that what they were writing was going to become part of a book called The Bible, deliberately and independently planned to construct the wording of the ancient
texts in such a way as to preserve the phenomenally consistent occurrences of several hundred Theomatic subjects throughout their writings, that they were mysteriously motivated to do so, that they had the natural capability of
doing so in their primitive environments, that they actually accomplished it, and that they told no one of their painstaking work... I submit that this is inconceivable. I procede, taking your agreement for granted. If I do not
have it, then I perceive there is nothing about the rigor of mathematics... or anything else... that will impress you differently. 3. The third option is where we spend our time presently. Of the four options, it
only holds some promise of objective analysis. There is a certain positive probability of such behavior occurring randomly, but the existence of a significantly higher number of theomatic structures than one would expect in a
random setting indicates intelligent design. If the phenomenon is not random, this can be validated mathematically. If you are not familiar with the basic mathematical laws of probability and statistics, a brief
review or study may be helpful in grasping the following proof by contradiction: we establish the miracle of Theomatics by demonstrating that the probability of its random occurrence is essentially zero. 4. When we
are done, option four will remain invitingly and uniquely open to you. Shall we begin? Definitions and Terms Footnoted technical references are indicated and linked by (n).
That is, S is not more than A units away from some whole multiple of Di. Proof
Ti = Mi x L x (L+1)/2 X i,j = [Ti! x QiJ x (1-Qi)Ti-J] / [J! x (Ti-J)!], mean mi = Ti x Q i, and standard deviation si = [ mi x (1-Qi)]½ P i = 1-(Xi,1+Xi,2+...+Xi,Ci-1)
The following theomatic occurences of W1 are noted in Theomatics II. (5)
There are M1= references to W1 in the New Testament, which has a theomatic divisor of D
1 of DDDD. Of the XX, there are C2 theomatic occurrences with an accuracy A of 2 and a max length L of 4. Of these C1, 7 have an accuracy of 1 and a max length of 4. The
probability that the above C1 theomatic references occurred randomly is: P1: about one chance in ?? if this event could be repeated many times. The probability of all C2 instances occurring randomly is P
. The corresponding normal event Z1 with this probability is the point on the standard normal curve such that the area under the curve to its right is 1-0.0897= 0.9103. This is 1.3423,
taken from any standard normal table. This implies E of ??. Current theomatic analysis includes the following events:
The above results occur with D=1000 (implying m = 3.25 and s = .35), A=1, and L=5.(7) The ith subject Wi (which could itself also be a phrase without corrupting the logic of the proof) and pattern Di produces Ci hits in Mi occurrences which imply Z i and E. O is the resulting probability of these themoatic events occuring if theomatics were a random phenomenon. The smaller O is, the less likely Theomatics occurred randomly.
To be continued as I obtain data. The Word of the LORD (The following presumes data to validate Theomatics... obviously not there yet :)
Man did not write the Bible. Someone Supernatural wrote the Bible. Let's call Him... God. The Bible is primarily about Him. He wrote it for you. Did He lie to you about Himself? I don't think so. Read it. You are looking right now at the equivalent of an empty tomb... a resurrected Savior. What are you going to do?
You can forget that you ever read this and go your way... but you will leave your integrity here. You are no longer an honest skeptic... you are an infidel. Or...
You can seek the face of God, submit to Him, and seek to please Him. I suggest you start by finding a Bible. For your information, if you have not yet embraced this God, I relate what I have found in
the Bible, to brief you in the essentials of dealing with Him... He says that you are so detestably wicked that you are a loathesome abomination to Him in
every respect. There is nothing about you that He can even begin to tolerate, much less like. You have never done anything good. You never will... of yourself. You are so far gone
in your rebellion and filthiness that you cannot even begin to help yourself... you cannot even want to... of yourself. You will make the most wicked choice that He will permit you to
make every single time you make a choice. You have angered Him immensely since the day you drew your first breath... and every day that passes His anger burns more deeply
toward you. He hates you enough to crush you eternally... with a just brutality and an indignant vengeance far more dreadful than you could ever conceive. He will eventually do so... if you continue despising Him... and you have
terribly. No one yet knows how strong He is, or what He will finally do to those He hates. Even so, for now... He says He loves you enough to offer up His one and only Son to die
your death for you... in your place... if you will have Him. His hand is stretched out toward you... even now. He is willing to suffer... as your substitute, in your place... all of the
devastation you so fully deserve at His hand, and He will do so if you will just turn to Him. He waits to save you from the wrath to come... waits on you... to come to Him. I did not say that...
He did. Interested?
